Putnam 32 Milwaukie 6

Saturdays game was good for the boys we had 4 different players score. We were able to get a lot of playing time for some of our players who need experience. Milwaukie was also short handed 5 players and put up a good fight they were just outmanned by our numbers.

Putnam 13 Clackamas 7

The boys played with a lot of poise and gained a lot of character. We were down by 7 going into the 4th quarter, we scored to tie the game and send it into overtime. In overtime we scored first and the defense stepped up and shut down the Clackamas offense to secure the win.

We had some mental mistakes that brought 1 touchdown back and threw 2 interceptions in the redzone. We have some work to do but the boys are making strides and looking forward to playing Milwaukie this weekend at 1:00 at Putnam Highschool.

Saturdays game was a struggle we gave 4 big plays and couldn't recover. Our boys never gave up. The score gave some other boys a chance to get some experience and they showed a lot of character. Brice Mcdonald threw his first and second touchdown passes of his young career. Alex Reese and Parker Busch were on the receiving end of both it was Parkers first touchdown ever and the first for Alex this year. We will start pracice Monday with some things to work on but our boys remaind positive throughout.

Putnam 12 Lake Oswego 0

Our boys really came together and played a tough game against Lake Oswego, for some of them it was their first win. We were ableto get a lot of experience for our newer players. Jesse Countrymen scored our 2 touchdowns and attempted 1 extra point kick. Aaron Dolfay, Kayne Stephens and River helped solidify our defense and Kyle Dixon made a touchdown saving tackle on a kickoff to keep the shutout intact. This week the boys will be tested by West linn at 1pm on Saturday at the high school it will be a tough a game and our boys will need to show some toughness and character.

Putnam 0 Oregon City 33

The score on Saturday was not reflective of the situation our boys faced, our 2 starting tackles were not able to play and our starting quarterback got injured in the second quarter but our boys didn't give up. We had some players step in and fill big shoes and they just got tired. Jesse Countrymen had about 7 solo tackles in the first half before injuring his hand, River Meyer had a sack that stopped an OC drive, Paris Finley made his first catch of the season on a 3rd and long to move the chains. Overall our boys played with a lot of heart and determination but couldn't overcome our loss of 3 key players. We play Lake Oswego Silver this week and hope to have a better outcome with having our full team be able to play.
